Oliver Lake to Messick Lake

The trip from Oliver Lake to Messick Lake Access take about an hour and a half of steady paddling. Paddle south across Oliver Lake through Basin Lake and enter the outlet over the control structure by the Co Rd 50 E bridge.

This takes you into a wetland area called The Spread. Much of this area is owned by Acres Land Trust called Marsh Wren Reserve. Canoe through culvert underneath  Co Rd 525 S. Continue canoeing into Hackenburg Lake. From there canoe southwest to Messick Lake. The access is on the left shoreline as you enter the lake.
